Ludlow Neighborhood Block Watch

Neighborhood noise!
Author Last Post
Dear LPRA Residents,

I live at 340 Hawthorne, just two houses north of the school (same side of the street). When the weather is decent, the south end of Purser Place becomes very noisy and a gathering place for cars, young people, very loud "music" and, I suspect, drug distribution. Ditto for Hawthorne School's new playground facilities. A good deal of yelling, screaming, and even fighting at the latter. Two, three, and sometimes even four times a week, I have to call the YPD. They come, but couldn't we get a regular patrol around 10 p.m. each evening?
Drop-off and pick-up at the school need police supervision too as regards traffic congestion, the safety of people crossing Hawthorne with their children, and sometimes noise, rudeness on the part of some parents, and more trash than usual on the sidewwalks in the immediate vicinity of the school.
To use Lenin's words, what is to be done? Thanks for listening. Sam.
