Some Ludlow residents may have read this history written by someone who once lived on the corner of Hawthorne Avenue and Valentine Lane in the 1920s, attended what has become the Montessori School on the corner of Valentine and Abeel St., then went to Hawthorne Junior High and Yonkers High School at Getty Square. He presents an interesting account of this area just as it was being developed and of the many changes that took place after the Second World War.
