Although Rick Magder, the Executive Director at Groundwork Hudson Valley, was very positive about their role in helping us to administer the funding for the dog park, his Board Members were more hesitant fearing liability issues. Rick promised to keep working on them. Does anyone in this community know anyone on Groundwork's Board? If so, please speak to them.
At the moment, the only way we can move forward on our own is to become a real organization and apply for our own 501(c)3 status. Please let me know if you are interested in pursuing this approach.
