The County provided specialized manhole cover inserts with carbon filters to deal with odors coming from sewer lines. According to the County, these require filter maintenance every 6 months. If you live or walk by any of these covers and notice odors, please report to the Yonkers Help Line, 914 377-HELP (4357) .
