Mary Whalen tanker and the waste treatment plant
Author Last Post
I agree! I wonder what has happened to this project? Our neighborhood would benefit from a park along the Hudson River.
The following letter, was sent to Westchester County Executive, Rob Astorino, and County Legislator, Virginia Perez, in response to a recent letter sent to Ludlow residents by Astorino by Nan Beer.

I live within walking distance of the Wastewater Treatment Plant, but
just far enough to be spared the odors carried to nearby homes.
I don't know what a decommissioned oil tanker would do for Yonkers, but
waterfront space is clearly valuable and if the county is open to making
it available, it should be actively soliciting proposals so that the
best use can be made of this resource.
As you may know, the state paid for a lovely park atop the North River
plant in Manhattan. We in Ludlow are still looking for something
fabulous to compensate us for hosting the county's sewage.
